What if a product is out of stock?

What if a product is out of stock?

You'll see stock status on the product page before ordering. If something goes out of stock after you order, we'll email you with options: wait for restock, choose an alternative, or get a refund.

Stock status explained

On product pages:

  • In Stock — Ready to ship, usually within 1-2 days
  • Low Stock — Limited quantities, may sell out soon
  • Out of Stock — Currently unavailable
  • Expected [date] — Coming back on estimated date
  • Made to Order — Produced after you order (custom items)

Quick tip: Sign up for stock notifications on out-of-stock items. You'll get an email when it's available again.

What happens if stock runs out after you order

Step 1: We check with the brand

Brands confirm stock availability when processing your order. If something's unavailable, we find out immediately.

Step 2: We contact you

You'll receive an email within 24 hours explaining the situation and your options.

Step 3: You choose what to do

Options typically include:

  • Wait for restock (we'll tell you estimated date)
  • Accept a similar alternative (same quality, different color/size/brand)
  • Remove the item and ship the rest
  • Cancel entirely for full refund

You have 7 days to respond. No response = automatic refund for unavailable items.

Good to know: You're never charged for items we can't deliver. If you paid already, we refund that portion automatically.

Why stock levels change

Brands manage their own inventory. We show live stock data from brand warehouses, but levels can change quickly due to:

  • High demand — Popular items sell fast across all sales channels
  • Seasonal patterns — Winter workwear sells out in autumn, summer gear in spring
  • Production cycles — Brands manufacture in batches
  • Supply chain delays — Raw materials or shipping can cause temporary shortages

How to avoid out-of-stock issues

  1. Order early — Don't wait until the last minute for seasonal gear
  2. Check stock before adding to cart — Product pages show current availability
  3. Set up notifications — Get alerted when items are back
  4. Consider alternatives — We carry multiple brands with similar products
  5. Plan team orders — Large quantities may need advance notice

Multi-brand orders and partial availability

If you order from multiple brands and one brand's items are out of stock:

  • Other brands ship normally — Available items aren't delayed
  • Each brand is independent — One brand's stock issue doesn't affect others
  • You're only charged for shipped items — Unavailable items are refunded

Backorders and preorders

Some items can be backordered (order now, ships when available):

  • Product page will clearly state this option
  • Estimated shipping date shown before purchase
  • You can cancel backorders anytime before they ship

Important: For urgent orders, check stock status and choose "In Stock" items only. Contact us if you need something urgently—we may be able to suggest alternatives.
