What if my payment fails?

What if my payment fails?

Don't worry—your order hasn't gone through yet. Failed payments are common and usually easy to fix. Try a different card, check with your bank, or choose another payment method.

Why payments fail

Most common reasons:

  • Insufficient funds — Check your available balance
  • Card declined by bank — Banks sometimes flag unusual purchases
  • Expired card — Double-check the expiry date
  • Incorrect card details — Verify card number, expiry, CVV
  • 3D Secure not completed — Look for a bank verification popup
  • Daily/transaction limits — Your card may have spending limits

Quick tip: If you see "card declined" but don't know why, your bank can tell you. Call the number on the back of your card.

How to fix it

Step 1: Try the same card again

Sometimes it's a temporary glitch. Wait a minute and retry.

Step 2: Check card details

  • Card number correct?
  • Expiry date correct?
  • CVV (3 digits on back) correct?
  • Billing address matches card?

Step 3: Try a different payment method

We accept:

  • Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  • Klarna
  • Invoice (business customers only)

Step 4: Contact your bank

If multiple cards fail, your bank may have flagged the transaction. A quick call usually resolves it.

Good to know: Your cart is saved. You won't lose your items if payment fails. Just return to checkout when ready.

What happens to your order

  • Payment fails → Order is not placed
  • No charge → You're not billed for failed attempts
  • Items stay in cart → Return to checkout when ready
  • Temporary holds → Some banks show pending charges that disappear within 24-48 hours

Pending charges on your statement?

Sometimes failed payment attempts show as "pending" on your bank statement. These are authorization holds, not actual charges. They typically disappear within:

  • 24 hours for most banks
  • 48-72 hours in some cases
  • Up to 7 days for certain card types

If a pending charge doesn't disappear after 7 days, contact your bank directly.

Multiple failed attempts

  3. Disable VPN if you're using one
  4. Contact us — we can check if there's an issue on our end

Important: Multiple failed attempts don't affect your credit score or account standing with us.

Need invoice payment instead?

If cards aren't working and you're a registered business:

  • Invoice payment (net 14 days) may be available
  • Requires valid VAT ID
  • Subject to credit assessment (doesn't affect credit score)
