What is the 2-year legal guarantee?


You have a 2-year legal guarantee under German law (BGB §437) for any product defect. This is your statutory right—it cannot be limited or removed. If a product has a defect, you're entitled to repair, replacement, or refund.


Why this matters for workwear


Workwear takes a beating. Safety boots get worn daily, jackets face weather and wear, and gloves protect your hands in tough conditions. If something fails due to a manufacturing defect—not normal wear—you're covered for 2 full years from delivery.


What we think is fair: Products should work as intended. If they don't because of a defect, you deserve a solution. That's the law, and we follow it without hesitation.


What's covered


Defects covered (examples):

  • Safety boot sole separating after 3 months
  • Jacket zipper breaking under normal use
  • Reflective strips peeling off hi-vis clothing
  • Seams coming undone without damage
  • Material tearing from standard use


Not covered:

  • Normal wear and tear (expected with workwear use)
  • Damage from misuse or accidents
  • Cosmetic issues that don't affect function
  • Wear from use beyond intended purpose


Good to know: During the first 12 months, defects are presumed to have existed at delivery. After 12 months, you may need to show the defect was present from the start.


Your rights in order


When a defect is found, the law gives you these rights in order:


  1. Repair or replacement (your choice)
  • We coordinate with the brand to fix or replace
  • No cost to you for a genuine defect


  1. Price reduction (if repair/replacement fails)
  • Partial refund based on defect severity
  • You keep the product at reduced price


  1. Full refund (if nothing else works)
  • Return the product, get your money back
  • Last resort after other options exhausted

Important: Defective products qualify for free return shipping regardless of the 30-day period. Don't wait to report defects.


What about customized products?


Logo-printed items are exempt from the 14-day withdrawal right (EU law for personalized products). However, the 2-year legal guarantee still applies to defects. If your customized product has a manufacturing defect, you're still entitled to repair, replacement, or refund.
