When is my order confirmed?
When is my order confirmed?
Your order is confirmed within 24 hours after brands review and accept it. You'll receive an "Order Confirmed" email once all brands in your cart have approved their portions. This isn't instant like retail—brands need time to verify stock availability.
Why orders aren't confirmed instantly
Here's what most people don't realize: When you click "Place Order," your workwear doesn't magically appear in a shipping box. Here's what actually happens:
The 24-hour confirmation window
Immediately after placing your order:
- Payment processes (if card) or credit check runs (if invoice)
- Order splits by brand - Each brand gets their portion
- Sent to brand warehouses across Europe for confirmation
- Brands have 24 hours to verify stock, accept, modify, or decline
Why brands need this time:
- Check physical inventory (not just website numbers)
- Verify product availability at their warehouse
- Confirm they can meet your size/quantity needs
- Ensure items aren't discontinued or recalled
What we think is fair: 24 hours prevents the frustration of ordering something that's actually out of stock. Retail sites often let you order, then email 3 days later: "Sorry, that's backordered for 6 weeks." We avoid that by giving brands time to confirm upfront.
The three emails you'll receive
Email 1: Order Received (immediate)
Subject: "Order #12345 Received - We're processing it"
What it means:
- We got your order and payment
- Sent to brands for confirmation
- Nothing for you to do—just wait
Timing: Within 1 minute of placing order
Email 2: Order Confirmed (within 24 hours)
Subject: "Order #12345 Confirmed - Shipping soon!"
What it means:
- All brands accepted your order
- Stock is verified and reserved for you
- Brands will start fulfillment (1-3 business days to ship)
Timing: Usually 2-6 hours, maximum 24 hours
This is when your order becomes "real." Before confirmation, brands can still decline or modify if stock issues arise.
Email 3: Order Shipped (1-3 days after confirmation)
Subject: "Order #12345 Shipped - Track your package"
What it means:
- Your workwear left the brand's warehouse
- Tracking number included
- Delivery in 2-5 business days (varies by country)
Timing: 1-3 business days after confirmation

What happens during the 24-hour window?
Brands are checking:
1. Physical inventory
- Do we actually have this size in stock?
- Is it in our warehouse or still in transit from manufacturer?
- Any quality issues with this batch?
2. Fulfillment capacity
- Can we ship within our normal timeframe (1-3 days)?
- Do we have shipping materials available?
- Any warehouse closures or holidays?
3. Product status
- Is this item still active (not discontinued)?
- Any safety recalls or compliance issues?
- Pricing still current?
4. Order details
- Sizes make sense? (e.g., no obvious errors like 50 pairs of the same boot in one size)
- Quantities realistic for the product type?
- Delivery address accessible?

What if brands DON'T confirm?
Three scenarios where confirmation fails:
Scenario 1: Out of stock
What happens:
- Brand checks inventory → item not available
- Brand declines that portion of your order
- You receive email: "Part of Order #12345 unavailable"
Your options:
- Wait for restock (if brand says it's coming soon—usually 1-2 weeks)
- Substitute with similar product from same or different brand
- Cancel that item and get immediate refund
Refund: Automatic for declined items (1-2 business days)
Scenario 2: Partial availability
What happens:
- You ordered 20 items, brand has 15 available
- Brand contacts us: "Can fulfill 15, not all 20"
- We email you with options
Your options:
- Accept partial (receive 15, refund for 5)
- Cancel all (wait and reorder when full stock available)
- Increase quantity from another brand if possible
||Good to know: Partial availability happens <5% of the time. Most orders confirm fully. It's most common with large quantity orders (50+ of one item).
Scenario 3: Pricing or product error
Rare but possible:
- Brand notices pricing error on their end
- Product was discontinued but still showing on site
- Safety recall issued
What happens:
- Brand declines order
- We investigate and fix the listing
- You get full refund + explanation
Our commitment: If this happens, we'll offer a discount code for your next order as an apology for the inconvenience.
Multi-brand orders: Staggered confirmations
Ordered from 3 brands? Each confirms independently:
Example timeline:
- Hour 2: Brand A confirms (fast mover)
- Hour 6: Brand C confirms (average)
- Hour 18: Brand B confirms (slower, but within 24h window)
What you'll see:
- 3 separate confirmation emails (one per brand)
- Each brand ships independently after their confirmation
- You may receive packages on different days
We don't hold your order waiting for the slowest brand. Brand A ships even if Brand B hasn't confirmed yet.
Business customers: Credit check timing
If you're using invoice payment for the first time:
Additional step before brand confirmation:
- Order placed → Payment method: Invoice
- Credit check runs via SCHUFA (Germany) or equivalent (24-48 hours possible)
- Credit approved → Order sent to brands for confirmation
- Brands confirm within 24 hours after credit approval
Total time: Up to 48 hours for first invoice order (24h credit + 24h brand confirmation)
Subsequent orders: No credit check needed—brands confirm immediately (within 24 hours)

Why this system exists
The honest reason: We're a marketplace, not a warehouse.
Traditional retail (Amazon, Zalando):
- Products in central warehouse
- Instant confirmation (they control inventory)
- Trade-off: Limited selection (only what fits in their warehouse)
Droppe marketplace:
- Products in 100+ brand warehouses across Europe
- 24-hour confirmation (brands control inventory)
- Trade-off: Wider selection, but confirmation takes time
What we think is fair: You gain access to authentic European workwear from 100+ brands. The 24-hour confirmation window is a small trade-off for that selection. And it prevents the frustration of ordering something that's secretly out of stock.
Tips for faster confirmation
1. Order early in the week
- Monday-Wednesday orders confirm faster
- Brands staff warehouses fully on weekdays
- Weekend orders wait until Monday for confirmation
2. Standard sizes confirm faster
- Common sizes (M, L, XL) usually in stock
- Unusual sizes (3XS, 5XL) may take longer to verify
3. Smaller quantities confirm faster
- 1-10 items: Very fast confirmation
- 50+ items: Brands need more time to verify stock levels
4. Use card payment
- Invoice payment adds credit check time (first order)
- Card payment goes straight to brands for confirmation
