Why did I pay shipping on some items but not others?

Why did I pay shipping on some items but not others?

Because shipping is free per brand once you hit €80. If you ordered from multiple brands, some might qualify for free shipping while others don't.

Here's what happened

Each brand in your order is treated separately because they ship from different warehouses.

Example scenario:

  • Brand A: €90 worth of jackets → Free shipping
  • Brand B: €60 worth of boots → €8 shipping charged
  • Brand C: €100 worth of trousers → Free shipping

Total: You paid shipping only for Brand B because that order didn't reach €80.

Good to know: You'll never pay more than the actual shipping cost per brand. If Brand B's real shipping cost is €8, that's exactly what you pay—not a penny more.

Why shipping works per brand

The honest reason: Brands ship directly from their own warehouses across Europe. Each brand processes and ships your order independently. Brand A in Germany has no idea you also ordered from Brand B in Italy.

What we think is fair: Charging per brand reflects reality. Each warehouse has real costs—packaging, carrier fees, logistics. We don't mark up shipping; you pay what the brand pays.

How to see shipping costs before checkout

Your cart breaks down shipping costs per brand before you pay.

What you'll see:

  • Brand A: 3 items (€90) - Free shipping
  • Brand B: 1 item (€60) - Shipping: €8
  • Total shipping: €8

No surprises at checkout. You always know what you're paying and why.

Quick tip: If you're close to the €80 threshold for a brand, consider adding one more item. You'll save the shipping cost and have an extra product for later.

Can I adjust my order to avoid shipping charges?

Yes—before you complete checkout.

Strategies:

  1. Add another item from the under-threshold brand to reach €80
  2. Remove items from brands you're lukewarm about and focus budget on one brand
  3. Save under-threshold items for your next order when you need more from that brand

Already placed the order? Unfortunately, orders can't be modified after checkout. Brands start processing immediately.

Sweden: Same principle, different numbers

If you're ordering in Sweden, the free shipping threshold is 800 SEK per brand (approximately €80).

Same rules apply—shipping is charged per brand based on whether each brand's order reaches 800 SEK.

What if I return items and drop below €80?

You don't get charged shipping retroactively.

Example:

  • Original order from Brand A: €100 (free shipping)
  • You return €30 worth of items
  • Result: Shipping stays free

Why? The brand already shipped based on your original order value. We think it's unfair to penalize returns by charging shipping after the fact.

Our philosophy on transparent shipping

We think hidden shipping costs are dishonest. Some marketplaces bake shipping into product prices so "free shipping" isn't really free—you're just paying more per item.

We'd rather show you real costs:

  • Product price = what the brand charges for the item
  • Shipping = actual cost to get it to you
  • Free shipping threshold = clear and per brand

Fair deal: You see exactly what you're paying for and why. No tricks.
