What if my return doesn't pass inspection?
We'll contact you with three options: keep the item (refund minus shipping), donate it, or pay return shipping yourself. You're never charged without knowing first.
How you'll find out
We email you within 24-48 hours of the brand completing inspection. The email explains:
- Why the return didn't pass (with photos if needed)
- Your three options
- How to respond
You have 7 days to choose. If we don't hear from you, we default to Option 1 (keep item, refund minus shipping).
Your three options
Option 1: Keep the item, get partial refund
How it works:
- We refund you the full product price minus return shipping cost (~€5-€15)
- You keep the item
Example: €50 jacket, tag fell off. You get €45 refund, keep the jacket.
Option 2: Donate the item
How it works:
- We coordinate donation to charity
- You pay shipping (~€5-€15)
- Item goes to someone who needs it
Option 3: Pay for return shipping back to you
How it works:
- We ship it back to you (~€10-€25)
- No refund
- You get the item back
Honest take: Rarely makes financial sense unless the item is very expensive.
Common reasons returns fail
- Worn outdoors - Dirt, scuffs, job site exposure visible
- Tags removed - Can't verify compliance (especially PPE)
- Washed/altered - No longer "new" condition
- Missing accessories - Incomplete product
